This is like a breath of fresh air. Most original track I've heard. You just made my day. In terms of a review I don't think I can suggest anything, it's just too good. Music's good, vocal's good and the mix is good. I lol'ed so hard @ 2:20

Please keep up the good work. The Audio Portal needs more guys like you.

T2TheK responds:

hahah thanks alot dude glad you liked it, and im here to stay so no worries, unless i get banned O.o but i think wer good for now

Like the glitching at 47s.
Drums need to be louder/more punchier. I think you could afford to over-compress them in this song, but mastering has never been my forte.
Voice at the beginning freak me out a bit. I think it has some sharp highs or something (try eq'ing).
But I think lowering the samples and focusing on drums will work.

AnubisInc responds:

thanks for checking out my song! I've actually re done the beat and lowered the sample and the drums stand out ALOT more. mastering isnt my forte either so i guess im slightly out of luck lol and sorry for the voice at beginning it does come in a little loud when it first comes on, I think im just going to take the them out once the final beat is complete!

thanks again for listening and for your review!

Amazing. this song sets that journey-adventure atmosphere. I think it would work well in a movie or something 'cos its not distracting (people can talk over it). Please enter something into the MAC13 jan/feb. I'm sure you'll do well.

Really good stuff. Sounds professional.
I especially like the crashes at 1:15. Personally could never get strings and horns just right so good on you. definiatly one of my favs

TheoryGuy responds:

Thanks for the comments! I will make sure to return the favour.

"Envious Return" will be a meaningful name.
maybe even "GreenBack" if you want to get metaphorical. =P

i love it

simplicity at its best.
very smooth
a breath of fresh air after listening to jazz with techno beats/ synths (yuck)
don't worry bout odd notes. just act like it was supposed to be there(this is jazz after all)
look forward to more improv's
5/5

MrMusicalLion responds:

True, most of the time in jazz I don't care about what notes I play, that's what I love about making jazz music so much. I can quite literally go crazy. ^_^

Currently working on a Jazz Improv album in fact. Will post more improvs soonish :)

I personally despise most Jazz, especially the Techno/Synth stuff that this place is littered with.

Thanks.

very good

I'd recognise those Reason claps anywhere
very smooth. like the skats at the end. sounds very childish ( in a good way)
Respect.

Flamingweeny responds:

not fellin it

whats this doing under jazz??

dont enjoy it

got stuff going for it ,but i cant see any development in the song. seems to just be repeating the same concept over and over again. the song could ....

sorry to mute my speakers. where was i...?

the song could benefit from some bass and variation to the note/chords. try again. hope to see an improvement
